Q: Hello! Could you help me with editing, please?

New Year is one of the most popular holydays (*or celebrations?*) in Russia. It's interesting, that it's much more popular, than Christmas, but today I'm not going to talk about them. I won’t talk about Easter and birthday, either. Let's talk about Victory Day.

At Victory Day, on the 9th of May, we celebrate the end of The Great Patriotic War, the most important for us part of the Second World War.
The ritual of celebration includes military parades, fireworks, watching films about the war and meetings with veterans.
Some people think that we shouldn’t celebrate Victory Day, because the war was horrible and took away lives of millions people. According to them, we should just be sad at this day and remind ourselves, that wars are cruel and we don't want it happens again. I agree with one thing - wars are brutal, cruel and scary, but, in my opinion, we still can celebrate Victory Day for reason that the number of victims would be much higher if we had lost the war. We, I mean, the descendants of the survivors, just wouldn't have been born. So I grieve on 22 of June, the day Soviet Union was attacked by Hitlerite Germany. Of course, I know about horrible things happened before that, but I write about Russia as the successor to the Soviet Union and things that happened to my Belarusian ancestors.

It's important to remember and write about these things. That could help us to value life and live in peace and harmony (but still I'm not sure).

( *Using two prepositions doesn't sound right in this sentence so you can write it as the following*)

I have been living in Moscow for the past few years and now I live in Chekhov. It's a town located about 50 km far away from The Moscow Automobile Ring Road.
It's a quite small place and I assume there are some attractions but usually I stay home or spend my free time walking in Moscow. So I can tell only about Melikhovo which is not far from Chekhov. That's the writer's home museum. And it's not so hard to guess who was the owner of estate considering the name of my town.

Let's have a look at the Internet page of Melikhovo Museum (http...*). Here we can see that, currently, the museum includes the manor house, the guest house, the kitchen, the bath house, an exhibition showing an old ambulatory medical station, a large garden area and some things which names I don't remember.

I liked seeing rooms in all buildings that Melikhovo has. I had a feeling like I'm a kind of spy despite understanding that not all household items were authentic.

Besides, it's seems unbelievable for me that Anton Chekhov was not only a great writer, but a doctor.

I highly recommend visiting Melikhovo. Last summer my friend Kseniya came to Melikhovo with me (it was my third time). She was satisfied with that trip too.

Apples frome those places smelled so good.
So why shoud I move to another town, far away from Melikhovo?
