Questions about example sentences with, and the definition and usage of "Realiser"

A: Ça depend. Je sais que, en français, on peut réaliser un film. Dans ce cas-là, on dit rarement, voire jamais, "realize a film" ✖️
On dit plutôt "to direct a film" ou bien "to write a film"
