The right way to say this is:
We don't need a reason.
"We don't need no reason" is an informal, colloquial way to say the same thing but it isn't correct grammar.
Most people would say "we don't need a reason".

the 1st way is correct. the 2nd way is often spoken slang, with same intend on meaning.
however 2nd way is logically opposite of the speakers intended meaning: so effective result would be that the speaker wants a reason

@Igirisujin: "we don't need no reason" is not informal, incorrect grammar or colloquial, but rather correct grammar but from a non-standard variety of English that uses double negation (e.g. AAVE and a number of English based creoles).

So the difference is
"we don't need a reason" is standard English.
and
"we don't need no reason" is a dialect of English.

@fondonlog Well, it's certainly informal and colloquial (I have heard it used that way here in Essex), and for a question about UK English I would exclude creoles, correct or otherwise.
In mainstream UK English double negatives like this are certainly incorrect.

@Igirisujin: oh true, I forgot that this was a question about standard UK English and not English in general. My mistake.
