- Английский (американский вариант)
It's only more natural because in the second sentence, you didn't contract "I + am" to make "I'm"! People in america use contractions a lot, and it really helps with the natural flow of sentences!
Contraction examples:
You + all = y'all
Do + not = don't
Can + not = can't
Would + not = wouldn't
Should + not = shouldn't
It + will = it'll
etc.
for example:
Are + not = aren't
"You aren't going to the football game later?"
vs.
"You are not going to the football game later?"
See how the first sentence flows better?
A lot of English sentences use contractions, and with time it'll come naturally!
Keep up the good work in the meantime!

they are both very similar and can be interchangeable!
"I didn't wanna go to your birthday bash because I get kind of awkward at parties."
"I didn't wanna go to your birthday bash because I am kind of awkward at parties"
The first example sounds more natural though!
