@Porotus The conditionnel (mourrais) is used because it comes before the "si" whereas the imparfait (recevais) is used because it comes after the "si" right?

@unknown847446 actually it's the same than in English.

- the condition ("if" part) is made with past (imparfait in french)
- the consequence ("then" part) is made with conditional.

and still same than in English both orders are possible.

Tu mourrais si tu ne recevais pas d'attention 👍
= (you would ...) + (if you ..)

Si tu ne recevais pas d'attention, tu mourrais👍
= (if you ...), (then you would...)
