Let me reword it see if that helps. "She shouldn't tell you how to do the accounts and give you the freedom to do your job?"

"... should have know better than to ..."
means
"... should have known it was a bad idea to ..."
So the person is asking: "She should have known it was a bad idea to delegate [assign] the account to you and give you the freedom to do your job?"

The implication is that you are blaming the person (whoever "she" is) for assigning the account to you when you were not prepared to handle the account.
The person who wrote the message is saying that is unfair to blame the person (whoever "she" is) because it was your job to handle the account and she had no reason to think that assigning the account to you was a bad idea.
